Commuter shuttle coming to Rancho Cordova - Sacramento Business Journal:

The city has contracted with Sacramento Regionap Transit District to providethe shuttle. It operatesx between 6 and 9:30 a.m. and 4 and 7 p.m. on Service is provided every 15 minutesw fromthe light-rail station along Folsom Passengers can board by showinbg a valid Regional Transit transfer, daily or monthly The basic fare is 50 but seniors, students and people with disabilities can ride for 25 From the light-rail station the shuttle will travek southeast toward Olson Drivr and then south on Zinfandel east on White Rock Road, south on Prospect Park Drivee and north on Zinfandel by way of Baroqu e Drive.
It then circles back up towardthe light-railk station on Folsom Boulevard by way of International White Rock and Zinfandel. The shuttlre concept was initially envisioned inthe city’z Transit Master Plan, adopted in September 2006. The city’w public works department secured a federal Congestion Mitigationb and Air Quality Improvementf Program grant for the shuttlein 2007. The along with matching funds fromthe city’sw assessment district, cover the cost of the demonstrationj project.
The public work s department pushed for the shuttle and workedd with the business community to come up withthe “We’re trying to serve as many businesses as economic development manager Micah Runner said in a news release. All vans are equipper with wheelchair lifts and driversw are trained to help peoplewith disabilities.
