Starting this fall, the college will offere master’s degrees in literacy education, sport administration and educationa administration. The three programse join the online master’s prograk in physical education, which has been offereed by the college sinceearlyg 2006, said Jim Bagwell, directord of graduate admissions for the School of Educatio n and Human Services. All three programs are geared toward studentz who live outside WesternjNew York, though some space is available for local Bagwell declined to say how many spots will be set asidr for local students. The programs beginh Sept. 14, three weeks after the Aug. 24 starf date for the rest of the Bagwell said.
The literacy educationh program prepares literacy specialists for certificatiohn in NewYork state, while the spory administration program focuses on sports-related business, such as intercollegiatse athletics, amateur and professional sports, sportes marketing firms, special-event management and facilityt management, the college said. Students in the education administratiob program will receive a Schooo BuildingLeader and/or School District Leaderd certification in New York state.
